History

1924

Founded Nara Shoten, beginning the sales of machine accessories and industrial tools.

1925
 Successfully developed a high-speed rotary impact shear mill. Relocated the head office from Shinagawa to Atago-cho.
1927
Completed the first mass-produced model of the Jiyu Pulverizer, a high-speed impact mill.
1930

Established and relocated the head office and factory to Samezu, Shinagawa, Tokyo.
Changed the company name to Nara Machinery Co., Ltd.

1933

Reorganized as Nara Machinery Co., Ltd. (incorporated).

1943

Founder Jiyuzo Nara was awarded the Dark Blue Ribbon Medal for his distinguished contributions.

1952

Founder Jiyuzo Nara received the Blue Ribbon Medal.

1964

Founder Jiyuzo Nara received the Purple Ribbon Medal.

1965

Founder Jiyuzo Nara was awarded the Order of the Sacred Treasure, Third Class.

1986

Established and relocated the head office and factory to Jonanjima, Ota-ku, Tokyo.

1999

Opened the Hokkaido Satellite Office.

2020

「The first Jiyu Pulverizer was designated Mechanical Engineering Heritage No. 102 (2020) by the Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME).

2024

Celebrated the 100th anniversary of the company's founding.
