Particle Design/Surface Modification

Particle Design is a technology wherein the individual particle constructing the powder is being focused, with purpose to impart new function and enhanced performance of the materials. Surface modification focused on solid surface of particles and composites of the particles can bring about a creation of new materials and significant improvement of the materials properties.

Nara Hybridization System (NHS)

Enables surface modification and preparation of composite materials of fine particles in a dry system, in a short process time.

Laser Ablation System (L/A)

Nanoparticles are formed by pulsed laser irradiation to the target material. Film formation on substrates, fine particle coating, and a liquid phase process is possible.

Miralo (ML)

Enables mechano-chemical process, mechanical alloying, preparation of composite materials, and precision mixing in a dry process.

Labo Kiln (L/K)

Rotating kiln for R&D purposes, which provides uniform calcinations, especially in heat treatment associating contact and reaction with gas.
