Tornesh Dryer for ABS polymer

We would like to introduce the recently delivered Tornesh Dryer (TRD) for ABS polymer dry process.

Tornesh Dryer is developed from pneumatic dryer.

The operation for TRD is controlled only by hot gas temperature. It is easily managed and reached to the stable condition in short time.
By attaching the special directional perforated plate at the hot air outlet, the wet material can be dispersed well around inlet area without attaching no rotation body.

After dispersed, the raw material rides on the tornado direction inside of the drying tower. There is no need to consider duct routing, as opposed to Flash Dryer.

Since there is no obstacle such as heat exchanger in the drying tower, the material in the dryer can be all discharged in short time, which is effective to the case that many grade changes are necessary.

When the process requires long residence time, the dry chamber body is partially expanded (option) to secure longer falling rate drying zone.





The recently installed TRD above mentioned has two drying phase configurations. The first phase is for constant rate drying period by the chamber diameter 1400. The second phase is for falling rate drying period by the chamber diameter1000.

To process ABS polymer that is prone to dust explosive, the explosion panel is attached to the drying chamber. Since the chamber has a cylinder shape, the design pressure can be calculated relatively high, and the explosion panel area becomes compact.

It is a recent industry trend to clean the equipment when the grade is changed.
This TRD is equipped with the cleaning spray nozzle. Since the dry chamber is empty with no accessories inside like heat exchanger to Fluidized Bed Dryer, the material in the chamber can be discharged completely and easily. It is also cleanable in short time.

Although fluidized bed dryer is the main stream in this industry, we can offer TRD for production use.
